Proceeds from the 2014 Toronto Negev Campaign will build a facility for Herzog Hospital in Jerusalem which will house medical services specializing in psychological trauma and other mental health issues for children and adults. Herzog Hospital is a leading institution helping Israelis cope with terrorist attacks, military operations as well as domestic and school violence. It has become a key resource for assisting those who have been impacted by terrorism.

The new Centre will address the vital need for services, especially within the Children’s Clinic and the Psychological Trauma Centre.

This facility will help doctors treat various outpatient mental health issues under one roof and will provide the necessary space to treat 25% more patients. With demands continually increasing, it is essential to combine all services for outpatient care in one properly equipped building.

The Dr. Max and Gianna Glassman PTSD and Health Centre will be the first of its kind in Israel and will serve as a model of excellence for other health care centres throughout Israel.
