JNF will assist the Meir Children’s Medical Center in establishing a therapeutic outdoor sports complex.

The project will become an integral part of the Medical Children’s Sport and Research Center at the hospital, which is dedicated to studying physical activity among children.

Development elements include running tracks, a sports field, as well as a fitness facility aimed at developing a variety of physical fitness aspects in children: power, balance, agility and flexibility. The work will also include landscaping, irrigation system and seating. This project will enable the development of physical activity programs for the treatment of chronic pediatric diseases to optimize patterns of physical activity in healthy children in order to prevent disease in later life. As well, it will enhance the effectiveness of rehabilitation in children following major surgery, injury or chemotherapy. The Meir Hospital in Kfar Sava is located about halfway between Tel Aviv and Netanya and serves a growing population of 800,000 in the Sharon area.

The Marilyn Libin Rehabilitation & Sports Facility project offers a wonderful opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children, whether healthy or ill. Your generous donations will help develop methods that will enhance the health of the younger generation both now and as adults.
