Jaffa Daled After-School Educational Enrichment Center

The Jaffa Daled After-School Educational Enrichment Center provides educational, nutritional, recreational and therapeutic support to at-risk children, ages 6-12, 70% of whom are of Ethiopian descent. While the Center currently serves 30 children, there remains a critical need within the community to assist additional children and their families. To address these challenges, with your support the Jaffa Institute will expand the Centre by building an additional floor to the existing building. The new floor will include six rooms which will be used throughout the day for a variety of activities and programming for both children and parents.

Leket Israel

Leket Israel is the largest food bank in Israel, and has been a leader and an expert in food rescue and distribution to needy people nationwide. At the core of Leket Israel’s transformative work is the complex logistical operation of sourcing, collecting, and transporting surplus food to where it is needed. Stringent food safety standards and Ministry of Health guidelines are maintained throughout the process. With Leket’s fleet of 20 trucks and vans, their staff and volunteers transport each week hundreds of tons of rescued food throughout the country to feed approximately 175,000 Israelis in need, regardless of age, gender, religion, or ethnic background.

ALEH Jerusalem

Established in 1998, ALEH Jerusalem provides 82 children and young adults with comprehensive professional care, including special education as well as medical, supportive and therapeutic care. This year we are raising money to support two important projects: The first is to build an outdoor terrace that will allow ALEH Jerusalem residents and staff to enjoy the beauty of the outdoors throughout the day. In addition, we hope to be able to support the hydrotherapy pool, which is a most important therapeutic tool for the residents of ALEH Jerusalem.

Beit Halochem Ashdod

Beit Halochem is a place where injured and disabled victims of terror can regain their dignity and quality of life. When they leave the hospital, Beit Halochem is there to help them rebuild their lives. An integral part of Beit Halochem’s mission is to provide disabled veterans and their families with everything they need to rehabilitate and reintegrate into society. JNF will help fund the physiotherapy and hydrotherapy wing that will be built at the newest Beit Halochem Centre in Ashdod that will serve almost 7,000 injured and disabled veterans, as well as victims of terrorist activity, who are living in that region of the country. Together with their families, more than 15,000 people will benefit from access to a facility in Ashdod.

Support the construction of a new Dental Clinic for children and young adults with special needs, serious mobility issues and complex health conditions in Israel. The treatment received at the specialized dental clinic will enable Israel’s most vulnerable members to benefit from the highest quality dental care and hygiene in an atmosphere most suitable and supportive to their needs.
This project is a partnership between JNF and ALEH C.A.R.E.S., Israel’s largest Network of Care for Children with Severe Multiple Disabilities.

Save a Child’s Heart

The courtyard at the new pediatric cardiac center and children’s hospital at the Wolfson Medical Center for Save a Child’s Heart promises to be a tranquil and relaxing area for the pediatric patients as they convalesce from their operations, as well as the lungs of its brand new facility.

Migdal Ohr- Mishpachton

Migdal Ohr is a pride of Israel for educating and nurturing more than 12,000 disadvantaged and new immigrant children from all across the country. Each child receives an education, meals, clothing and healthcare, in addition to extra-curricular activities and emotional support. The Mishpachton Project- Residents will live together with an adoptive family of two parents and their own biological children. This model allows the at-risk children to grow up in a safe, supportive and nurturing family environment—people who best understand their needs and have embraced them as their own. Your support to Migdal Ohr will help bring the Mishpachton project to life. JNF will assist Migdal Ohr with the construction of five new buildings to house 500 orphans and at-risk youth together with their foster families. Living with nurturing parents, these children will be afforded a warm and loving environment at the most impressionable time in their young lives.

Brothers For Life

Brothers for Life is an Israeli organization focused upon helping injured combat veterans reclaiming their lives through peer to peer support. This organization is housed at Beit Achim in Kfar Truman, near Tel Aviv. Beit Achim is cooperative run by the members where newly injured individuals are introduced to a family they never knew they had. The culture of BFL is selfless giving. The first thing every one of the members wants to do after receiving help is pass that help on to another combat veteran. The cooperative hosts their core programs, group and individual therapy, tutoring, and all of their member initiated projects. The facility and programs help the members to move past the trauma of war and to live in a healthier state of mind enabling them to achieve their dreams and help others.
