Beit KKL-JNF Canada House

Building the Leaders of Israel’s Tomorrow

With the Beit KKL-JNF House in Sderot

As 2019 winds down, we have some good news to inspire you.

Thank you for your ongoing support and commitment to JNF Canada. We are grateful for your pledges in past years supporting our projects in Israel. We can only build our projects in Israel with you.

It is not too late to help build the future foundations of Israel! Help Sderot youth and double your donation . . .

Please help give young people in Sderot a future by supporting Beit KKL-Canada House in Sderot. In this joint venture, Keren Kayemet L’Israel (KKL) will match your donation dollar for dollar – a gift to help you create miracles for others.

Your donation gives young people the opportunity for advanced studies focusing upon science, technology, engineering, math and leadership in a safe, warm and welcoming facility. The investment in Sderot’s youth with help ensure their future and will demonstrate our support for this community that has been under constant rocket fire for years.

Modelled after the successful KKL House in Upper Nazareth (Nof HaGalil), Canada House in Sderot will be fortified, protecting students and staff from rocket and mortar attacks and will also be accessible to people with disabilities. Its design will be invitingly clean and bright, with large windows to let in natural light, colourful wall illustrations, and open spaces, creating an environment and ambiance unlike that of a school.

“I feel that I’ve really been seen for the first time.” — Hannah, Beit KKL House in Nazareth student

“We hope that each of the participants will start believing that not even the sky is the limit for them. The young people are enthusiastic and motivated to be partners in this process.” — Omer Harpaz, Director of the Upper Nazareth house.

The Beit KKL-JNF Canada House in Sderot will be surrounded by a courtyard for outdoor studies and comprise learning spaces of different sizes and relaxation areas equipped with a variety of educational and multimedia resources to encourage creative learning based on the edutainment model of informal education. Canada House will be divided into classrooms, a multipurpose hall, meeting room, patio, kitchenette and a unique experiential learning hub. The classrooms are designed to contain small learning groups, except for one large classroom (that can be divided into two), and a computer lab with the latest equipment. The multipurpose hall will be used for workshops, lectures, performances and film screenings.

You can make a miracle happen in Sderot, doubling your impact and transforming lives. To support the Sderot youth, please visit us online at www.jnfottawa.ca or call the JNF Ottawa office at 613-798-2411. Please consider investing in the future of Sderot youth.

P.S All donations $6,000+ will be recognized with a plaque at the site. You may also want to consider purchasing a number of bricks to help construct this facility. Each brick costs $180 and will be recognized through an on-line honour wall. We would be delighted to discuss giving options with you.
