In response to the horrific Hamas attacks against communities in Israel on October 7, 2023, JNF Canada launched the Israel Resilience Fund. With your generous support, we will build Israel's resilience against this terror today and for the long road ahead. This attack has destroyed many communities, but they will never destroy our spirit. We stand together, as one Jewish community, ready to help Israelis in this unimaginable time.
This fundraiser is raising money for the Carmel Horse Therapy Farm to build a bomb shelter. Founded by four mothers of adults with special needs, the Carmel therapeutic horse farm in Meir Shfeya Youth Village serves hundreds of youth with emotional problems, anxiety, social integration difficulties, post trauma, etc. Therapeutic riding has long been a widely successful form of therapy, particularly for children and young adults. The horse farm also employs adults with special needs, serving Haifa’s special needs community in so many ways. Given the horrific recent attacks, it's urgent that the special needs youth in this village have a safe place to shelter from rockets and other attacks, now and in future.
