Jeff Rubenstein
Jeff Rubenstein is the Chairman of Export Packers Company Limited which was founded in 1937 by his
father, the late Max Rubenstein. Export Packers is a diversified international food company that
began as a domestic food wholesaler and has since evolved to include Worldwide Commodity Trading
and Domestic Protein divisions. Export Packers is a Financial Post 500 company and has become one
of the largest privately owned food companies in Canada.
Jeff joined the business in 1968 and established a reputation throughout the food industry as an
industry leader on market trends in food commodities. His contributions in sales and marketing has
helped make Export Packers one of the most highly respected food commodity businesses in North
America. Jeff is supported by a team of experienced and tenured senior managers who continue to
forge new growth for this Canadian-based, global enterprise.
He is married to Honey and has two children, Richard and Kelly, and five grandchildren.
Jeff has been on the Board of the UHN Hospital Foundation since 2010 and is the current Board Chair
of the Peter Munk Cardiac Center. He is also on the Board for The City of David - Historic
Jerusalem and the Canadian Society for Yad Vashem and a past board member of Beth Sholom Synagogue.
The Rubenstein’s and Export Packers are supporters of numerous charities, including the Peter Munk
Cardiac Centre, JNF Canada, the Krembil Discovery Centre, SPARK (Special Programme in Applied
Research and Therapy), the artificial intelligence research within the Arthritis Program at UHN,
Baycrest Centre, UJA Federation of Greater Toronto, NCSY Canada/ Torah High, Ner Israel Yeshiva,
Chabad of South Broward Florida, and various other charities
throughout Canada and abroad.
