On June 24, the JNF professional team was presented the Mitzvah Award at the JCFS AGM, for their community involvement and partnership with JCFS. The award was established to honour and recognize outstanding partners in the community.

Al Benarroch, Executive Director of JCFS, remarked that “Every year at our AGM, JCFS acknowledges one or more community partner organizations that support the work we do in achieving our mission. The support and partnership of JNF, both in terms of financial support, sponsorships, and volunteerism, has been steadfast and exemplary. The local JNF staff can always be counted on and demonstrate the core values of JCFS. For this we thank you and value all that you do.”

JNF is thrilled to be recognized, not only for their decades of work building Israel but also for the important contributions they make in their respective communities. While most of JNF's campaigns and marketing focus on their work in Israel, many regions also work hard to support local initiatives and needs. David Greaves, Executive Director, JNF Manitoba/Saskatchewan says “it is important that communities are aware of the important and meaningful contributions we make locally. As I say time and time again: In order for JNF to be successful the communities in which we all live must be successful too. We are committed to our continued contribution to the growth and rebuilding of the state of Israel and the sustainability of the wonderful communities we call home.”
