Gilad Lachiani was trained since a young age to become a professional and extreme Kayaker. At the age of 18, he joined the IDF and was mortally wounded in the Second Lebanon War (2006). Against all predictions he survived, but his doctors and physiotherapists told him to “forget about his dream of kayaking again''. He didn't listen and followed his intuition: this was the key to his self-rehabilitation. Once back to his extreme sports life, he founded a kayak and rafting school named "White Water" on the Jordan River. He shared his experiences and beliefs, setting an example for developing and enhancing willpower and determination. He has amazing results working with adolescents who have behavioral problems and ADHD. He coaches wounded Israeli veterans suffering from PTSD and different disabilities. Gilad wishes to develop his school by accommodating more groups for therapy.
