JNFs around the world have agreed to “adopt” a community and help it rebuild. Kibbutz Kissufim, next to the Gaza border, was home to just 45 families, but 16 members were murdered by Hamas, 3 kidnapped and dozens injured.
Many of the gruesome images you saw on the news came from Kissufim. In the aftermath of the attack, residents of Kissufim are experiencing a sense of loss, grief, and social isolation.
Their local economies have been destroyed, and community buildings burned. But they are determined to recover their community and well-being, starting with rebuilding the playground and daycare for children, and a youth club for teenagers.
