The Jewish National Fund of Ottawa is very excited to announce the launch of the third annual Breakfast for Israel which will take place Tuesday, June 17th, 2025.
Our special guest: Noa Argamani, Nova Festival and hostage survivor. Since her return, Noa has chosen to speak publicly about her experience to raise awareness for the remaining hostages, advocate for their release, and amplify the voices of those affected by terrorism and violence in Israel. In April 2025, Noa was named one of Time Magazine's 100 Most Influential People of 2025.
Our goals at the Breakfast for Israel are to:
1. Increase awareness of JNF’s renewed mission of building social infrastructure in Israel.
2. Cultivate relationships with prospective donors.
3. Attract members of the business community that are not currently connected with JNF.
4. Raise funds for Ashdod Rehabilitation & Therapy Centre
Ashdod Rehabilitation & Therapy Centre
This year’s Breakfast will support the development of the Ashdod Rehabilitation & Therapy Centre. The center will provide critical medical and rehabilitative care to trauma victims, children with disabilities, and pediatric cancer patients in southern Israel. The center will feature rehabilitation clinics, a hydrotherapy pool, modern medical equipment, daycare, and educational spaces. Its goal is to offer high-quality care close to home, reducing the need for long travel times. Located near the Samson Assuta Ashdod University Hospital, it will serve hundreds of patients each month. Southern Israel faces a severe shortage of rehabilitation services, exacerbated by the October 7 war. 30% of wounded patients and most of the war victims are from the south, stressing an already overwhelmed healthcare system. With only 11 rehabilitation centers in the south, compared to 43 in central Israel, wait times are often over a year. Children with disabilities and cancer patients must travel long distances for care. The Ashdod Rehabilitation & Therapy Centre will help address these challenges by providing timely, accessible treatment for those in need. For more project information, click here.
