Tree Card
Palm trees, typically associated with the balmy beaches of Tel Aviv and other coastal cities, are actually found in every nook and cranny of Israel’s many landscapes. Historically, the date palm (also known also as the Judean date palm) was a symbol of the Kingdom of Judah and present-day Judean desert. The date palm was a staple food source, provided shelter and shade, and was even engraved on the ancient currency shekalim.
