Israel has earned the nickname of Start-Up Nation for its numerous breakthrough technological innovations and having the most startups per capita of any nation in the world. CSP aims to spur increased funding and investment in green technology to have the energy of the Startup Nation focused on solving the climate crisis. As well, the Climate Solutions Prize will fund prizes for innovative solutions in local JNF communities.
In October 2023, the 2nd annual Israel Breakthrough Research Prize winners were announced at the Award Gala at the Climate Solutions Festival. In May 2023, the first Quebec Climate Solutions Festival announced the first Quebec Breakthrough Research Prize winners, handing out a total of $300,000 in prize money to five innovators, entrepreneurs and researchers making strides in clean and climate technology.
In addition to the Award Prize, CSP has also expanded into the Climate Solutions Festival, a large-scale global summit and startup expo, which brings together global attendees and leading researchers and climate innovation for inspiring conferences, panel discussions, workshops, and roundtables.
