JNF Toronto and the Canadian Friends of the Jaffa Institute have teamed together to create an unforgettable experience of hiking through the wilderness as one group. The event will be held at the Kortright Centre on September 10th where we will be led by professional guides, through an enchanted forest in our own hometown.
The registration fee is $36 and each registrant will be responsible for raising a minimum of $500 which will help fund the Beit Shemesh Education Centre in Israel! Together, we will Hike for a Cause! Our goal this year is to raise $66,000 to complete the renovation of the new outdoor exercise space.

About the Project:
The Beit Shemesh Education Centre provides comprehensive educational, therapeutic, and nutritional support to more than 200 disadvantaged boys, ages 13-19, who come to the residential campus from impoverished communities throughout Israel. Essential to their success is their holistic approach that makes every student feel truly valued, sometimes for the first time in their lives. With an impactful commitment to their students physical and emotional welfare, BSEC has twice received the Israel Ministry of Education’s top prize for academic excellence.
Did you know.
Keeping kids off the streets and in our Beit Shemesh School, giving educational and emotional support, providing sports and activities to build their self-esteem, and making sure they have 3 meals a day, raises their graduation rate to 97%. In addition, they can then get accepted into the army, get a scholarship for university, get good jobs, and break the cycle of poverty? If not for Beit Shemesh, many of them would be school dropouts with problems with drugs, alcohol, and abuse. You can help us break the cycle of poverty for these boys and their families.
